The Vice Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Professor Ibrahim Garba, has approved the appointment of Prof. Yakubu Kokori Enevene Ibrahim, popularly known as YKE of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, as the leader of the Institution’s Africa Centre of Excellence on Neglected Tropical Diseases and Forensic Biotechnology. By this appointment Prof. Ibrahim, an erudite scholar, is to over the affairs of the centre. His appointment followed the dead of Professor Andrew Now who was pioneer leader of the Centre. YKE who hails from Okengwe in Okene LGA of Kogi State was born in 1958.
