The Executive Secretary of Kogi State Drugs and Medical Supply Management Agency, Pharm Salamatu Yunusa has hailed the state’s Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for ensuring prompt and safe release of 14 Kidnapped students of one of the state’s Universities, Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara.
The Executive Secretary who spoke in a chat with Health Monitor’s correspondent in Lokoja, said governor Ododo’s prompt and proactive action coupled with his zero tolerance for any act of insecurity was what motivated the gallant local vigilante men and security agents to engage the kidnappers in a gun duel that led to their surrender or succumbing to superior firepower that forced them to take to their heels with gun wounds, leaving the kidnapped students.

The Executive Secretary called on all indigenes and residents of the state to pray for the governor and his team of progressive and patriotic aides to succeed in making Kogi state the most secured and developed in the country.
Pharm Salamatu emphasized that as a strong believer in Almighty Allah and as one who has vowed to protect the good people of the state against any internal and external threat that may threaten the peace and progress of the state, our amiable and focused governor will not leave any stone unturned in his unwavering commitment to secure the state and its constituents.
“I am sure as night follows day that God Almighty and the good people of Kogi state will not leave the governor alone in his determination to move the state to enviable heights” she said, adding that “any leader with the kind of faith and mind of Governor Ododo will certainly succeed in whatever thing he is set to do”.
