Professor Yaki Katuka of the Department of Political Science, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai, has denied granting any interview against the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, as Published in Education Monitor Newspaper.
The renowned Political Science Professor has also threatened to institute legal action against the reporter, the newspaper company and it’s publisher, if they failed to retract the libelous story and offer public apology for misleading the public on his stand on the APC Gubernatorial Candidate.
The University Don, in a statement he personally signed, and sent to the Group Editor-in-Chief of Education Monitor Newspaper, said, “I can not remember ever granting any interview on such a sensitive issue, which is dear to my heart as a patriotic and bonafide son of Kaduna state, to a tabloid called *The Newspaper*, as cited in Education Monitor”.
“I am therefore calling on the authors of the story to immediately retract it and offer public apology to me, or, should await legal action from my lawyers”, Prof Katuka warned.
