All the leading and prominent traditional rulers in Nigeria, particularly First Class Chiefs that comprise of Emirs, Obas, Obis, and the only Shehu in the traditional rulers’ community, stormed Bichi, to be part of the historic coronation ceremony/presentation of staff of office to Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero as the second Emir of Bichi, by the Kano state governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The traditional rulers, majority of whom also attended the wedding fatiha of the daughter of the Emir, Princess Zahra Nasir Ado Bayero with the only son of Nigeria’s President, Yusuf Muhammadu Buhari.
In seperate chats with PALACE MONITOR, the traditional rulers all prayed for the Emir and wished him long life and good health to continue to lead his subjects to greatness.
Some of the Royal Fathers that graced the twin historic events included His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, The Shehu of Borno, His Royal Highness Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi, the Emir of Kano, HRH Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, Emir of Gwandu HRH Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar, Emir of Zazzau, HRH Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, Emir of Lafiya, HRH Justice Sidi Muhammad Bage.
Others included the Emir of Bauchi, HRH Alhaji Rilwanu Suleimanu Adamu, Emir of Gombe, HRH Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, Emir of Jama’a, HRH Alhaji Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu, Emir of Kagara, HRH Alhaji Ahmad Garba Gunna, Emir of Billiri, HRH Malam Danladi Sanusi Maiyamba, Emir of Borgu, HRH Alhaji Muhammad Sani Halliru Dantoro, Kitoro IV, Emir of Uba, HRH Alhaji Aliyu Ibn Ismaila Mamza, and host of others, too numerous to mention.
In his ‘Thank You’ message to those that attended both the coronation ceremony and the wedding of his daughter, Princess Zahra Nasiru Ado Bayero with President Buhari’s son Yusuf, the Emir of Bichi thanked them for sparing time to attend the twin events.
He specifically thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice, Prof Yemi Osinbajo and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar who despite their tight schedules were able to be in Bichi to attend the wedding fatiha of our children.
The Emir also thanked all the traditional rulers under the leadership of his Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alh. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, Members of Federal and State Executive Council, District Heads of Bichi Emirate Council, and other traditional title holders, the entire membership of the organizing committee as well as the entire people of Bichi emirate, for their untiring support and contributions toward the realization of the noble goal of ensuring hitch-free ceremonies.
The Emir, also thanked Heads of Federal Government Parastatals and extra ministerial agencies, leaders of thought, members of Federal and States Houses of Assembly for gracing the occasions.
He also thanked members of the Diplomatic Corps, the Prince of Principality of Serboga.
