The Board of Trustees of Gwantu Development Association (GWADA) has suspended the National Chairman of the Association Mr Umar Galadima.
The suspension was contained in a letter titled, ‘Letter of Suspension’, dated 30th September, 2023, signed by the Secretary General of the Association, Mr Amos Samuel, on behalf of the Association’s Board of Trustees.
The suspension letter partly read, “The Board of Trustees of Gwantu Development Association has observed with dismay your regular engagements in certain activities that violate the Association’s extant rules and regulations.
The letter stated that Consequent upon this, the Board, after due and widely held consultations with relevant stakeholders resolved to suspend you indefinitely as the chairman of the Association.
“By this suspension therefore, you are hereby instructed not to, in any way, receive, attend, represent, send any information, or sign any document on behalf of the Association”, the letter further warned.
The Board of Trustees further instructed the embattled chairman to surrender all documents of the Association in his possession to the Secretary, pending further action.
