The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria branch has accused Registrar of the University Malam A. A. Kundila of mischievously and consistently working hard to undermine industrial harmony in the institution, even when there was no cause for that.
A statement jointly signed by the Union’s branch Chairman and Secretary, Professor Muhammad Rabiu Nasiru and Dr. U. B. Abubakar respectively, which described the Registrar as a threat to peace and stability of the University and who has been aimlessly trying to provoke the union by opposing it on all fronts.
The union wondered why the Registrar, since his assumption of office, about four years ago, been fighting its members in so many ways, especially those holding Directorate positions, by sitting on memos or approvals made for them by the Vice Chancellor towards discharging their various responsibilities in their administrative offices.
ASUU however warned the Registrar to desist from his complex-influenced attitudes against the Union and its members in the best interest of Peace and stability of the university, and sustenance of cordial relationship between the Union and the university management.
