The Governing Council and Management of University of Mkar in Gboko local government area of Benue State, have upheld the unanimous nomination of a United States-based Veteran Scholar of International repute, Professor Toyin Falola, as the presenter of the University’s 12th/15th Combined Convocation Lecture.
Expected to be on ground with Professor Falola is the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, Professor Olayemi Durotimi Akinwumi who will serve as Chairman of the Convocation Lecture.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Zacharys Anger Gundu who disclosed this to Education Monitor said the convocation lecture which is slated for 27th October, 2023, will take place in the University’s Chapel at 12 noon.
Professor Gundu said the World Class University of Texas’ Professor is expected to talk on a topic titled, “Religion and Values”.
