A leading supporter of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahya Bello and advocate of Ododo/Joel Gubernatorial ticket and Coordinator of Progressive Health Professionals and Associates for Ododo, Pharm Salamatu Yunusa has urged all electorates in the state to vote for Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman in the forthcoming highly contested gubernatorial election.
Pharm Yunusa who, in an interview with our Education and Health Monitor Correspondents in Lokoja yesterday, opined that Governor Yahya Bello’s giant strides in the health and education sectors are so unparalleled that it behoves on all stakeholders to, not only wish for continuity and greater achievements in these most important sectors, but to collectively work hard to ensure the victory of Ododo who is better positioned and prepared to carry on with the good work of the bulldozer Governor.
Pharm Yunusa who boasted that what Governor Yahya Bello has achieved in a period of just eight years, especially in the health and education sectors surpassed the achievements of all the past governors of the state.
Pharm Yunusa lists the governor’s achievements in the two sectors as follows:
1. Building of ultra modern hospitals across the senatorial axis.
2. healthcare plus for the citizen of Kogi State.
3. establishments of Kogi State Drug and Medical Supply Management Agency.
4. Establishments of Kogi Health Insurance Agency.
5. Building of reference hospital in Okene with state of the art medical equipments.
6. Upgrade of school of Nursing in Obangede.
7. Employment of health workers.
8. Implementing full CONMESS.
Pharm Salamatu also listed the following as Governor Yahya Bello’s achievements in the education sector:
1. Establishment Confluence University of Science & Technology Osara.
2. Built GYB model Science Secondary School at Adankolo, Lokoja.
3. Built GYB model science science Secondary School at Ogaminana in Adavi LGA.
4. GYB model Science Secondary School at Isanlu in Yagba West LGA.
5. Rehabilitation and construction of 50 space hostel space at Govt Girls Unity Secondary School Obangede in Okehi LGA.
6. Construction of lectures theatres at College of Education and Technical Kabba.
7. Reconstruction and renovation of school projects at State College of Education Ankpa.
8. Established Kogi State University Kabba.
9. Numerous structures at Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja.
