President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Professor Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi as the substantive Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State with effect from 12th May, 2020.
This was contained in an appointment letter dated 15th of May, 2020 signed by the Honorable minister of Education, Adamu Adamu and seen by Education Monitor.
The statement reads; “I write to convey the approval of his Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, of your appointment as the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State with effect from 12th May, 2020.”
“The appointment is for a single term of five (5) years and the conditions of service including remunerations and fringe benefits shall be as approved for Vice Chancellors of Federal Universities in Nigeria.” He added.
He finally congratulates the New VC and wishes him a successful tenure.
Prof Bichi was Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university for over two years.
