Nigeria has recorded a significant milestone in the field of engineering with the promotion of Dr. Umma Abdullahi to the rank of Professor of Mechanical Engineering.
This achievement makes Dr. Abdullahi the third female professor of Mechanical Engineering in Nigeria and the first in the Northern region.
The Bayero University’s Academic and Promotion Committee approved her promotion, effective October 1, 2023, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field of mechanical engineering.
Dr. Abdullahi’s remarkable achievement is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and passion for engineering. Her promotion serves as an inspiration to aspiring engineers, particularly women, across Nigeria and beyond.
