Following his particpation and valuable contributions towards the development of the ‘Nigeria Call for Action Declaration’ the Office of the National Security Adviser in the Presidency and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) have commended the Director General of Nigerian Institute of Advanced legal Studies, Professor Muhammad Tawfiq Ladan.

The ONSA, in a letter titled, ‘Letter of Commendation’, signed by Rear Admiral (Retired) Yemi Musa PhD, for the National Security Adviser, said, “I write to convey sincere appreciation of the National Security Adviser for your exceptional contributions towards the development of the “NIGERIA CALL FOR ACTION”, a declaration that recognizes the priority of protecting children from the threats associated with terrorism and violent extremist groups”.

The letter also partly read, “Your ability to achieve this commendable feat within such a limited frame clearly portrays your level of resourcefulness and long hours of painstaking and arduous work towards protecting our children from the effects of this menace”.

“I wish to, on behalf of the National Security Adviser, advice you to uphold this high quality commitment to national duty as the nation strives to adddress and secure our children from extremist groups”, he Said.

“While once again commending you for this outstanding performance, please accept the assurances and esteemed regards of the National Security Adviser”, he added

In a related development, the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime, in a Certificate of Recognition extended to Professor Muhammad Tawfiq Ladan, signed by Representative of the Country Office Nigeria, Oliver Stolpe, commended Professor Ladan for his history participation and contributions to the development of the Nigeria Call For Action Declaration on the treatment of Children Associated with terrorists and Violent Extremist Groups.
