The Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS) has perfected preparations to hold its Founders’ Day on the 29th of February, 2024.
Activities lined up for the Founders’ Day, according to program of events sent to Education Monitor, include 2024 NIALS Biennial 18th Fellowship Confernment of Honorary Fellowship on Five Eminent Jurists and distinguished legal scholars, Founders’ Day Lecture, and unveiling of the first in 20 years (Post LFN 2004) Compendium of Federal Acts in Force and Index, 2004 – 2023.
The Founders’ Day Lecture is expected to be delivered by Professor Yemi Akinseye George, SAN, on the title: “Access to Justice and Sustenance of Democracy: What NEXUS?”
After the lecture, the next activity that will mark the day will be conferment of Honorary Institute Fellowship 2024 on the five carefully chosen and well merited Legal Icons who include: Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, GCON, CJN, and Hon. Justice Inyang John Okoro, JSC, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, HAGF, Professor Yemi Akinseye George, SAN and Professor Isa Hayatu Ciroma, SAN.
