The second substantive Registrar of Federal University Gusau (FUGUS), Malam Yakubu Anivbassa, has successfully completed his 5-year tenure and has since returned to his parent institution, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria. He had joined FUGUS on leave of absence on February 4, 2019.
According to the University’s Bulletin, Malam Anivbassa successfully served three Governing Councils – 2nd, 3rd and current Councils. He has also served two Vice-chancellors.
As the Chief Administrative Officer of the university, Anivbassa’s tenure was characterized by profound exemplary leadership and administrative excellence, as he played critical roles in ensuring smooth and effective running of the university by providing robust administrative support to the ertswhile and current Vice-chancellors of the university.
Malam Anivbassa’s modest and unparalleled contributions to the development of the university attracted commendations from different segments of the university, which the Vice Chancellor acknowledged during the university’s 48th regular Senate meeting. “Your administrative acumen and positive impact on the activities of the university and the Senate in particular, will continue to be remembered”, he said.
