President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Engr (Dr) Baba Aliyu Haruna as the Rector,of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida.
The minister of Education ,Alh Adamu Adamu stated this while presenting a letter of appointment to the new Rector, Engr Baba Aliyu on Wednesday in Abuja.
The appointment which is with immediate effect took effect as from May 21 for five years tenure.
“I write to convey to you the approval of Mr President, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, for your appointment as Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State”
“The terms and conditions of service including remuneration and fringe benefits shall be as approved for Rectors of Federal Polytechnic,” he added.
Buhari congratulated the new rector and wished him a most successful tenure in office.
Until his appointment, Haruna was the Director, Quality Assurance at the polytechnic.
The new rector expressed gratitude to President Buhari for the appointment, saying he would do everything humanly possible to lift the standard of the polytechnic to greater heights.
