Following the woeful defeat the All Progressive Congress (APC) suffered in the last Presidential elections in Kaduna state, Governor Nasiru El-Rufai has threatened to sack any Imam that refuses to use the pulpit to openly call on all worshippers in their mosques to vote his anointed gubernatorial candidate, Senator Uba Sani, and all other APC candidates in the March 18th gubernatorial and States House of Assembly elections.
The Governor has also threatened to deal with any civil servant that is on the payroll of the state government who failed to vote the APC aspirants.
Video of a kaduna state government official who read the riot acts to the civil servants on behalf of the governor during a meeting organized to stress to them why they must all vote for the APC is now trending on various social media platforms
The threat is coming few days after El-Rufai suspended the Ward Head of Kwangila in Sabon Gari local government area for failing to attend a meeting he summoned to give all District and Ward Heads marching orders to ensure that all their subjects vote APC gubernatorial aspirant, Senator Uba Sani, and all other APC candidates contesting the State House of Assembly Election.
It will be recalled that a video of a certain Imam in kaduna went viral last week in which he was heard admitting that all the Imams of more than 300 Mosques in the state were given N10m each to mobilize worshippers to support the Muslim-Muslim Ticket in the state.
