The Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Arc Sonny Echono, has commended the management of Benue State University on its successful convocation ceremony and for churning out record 51 PhDs.

Echono, in a chat with Education Monitor on the sideline of the convocation, praised the Vice Chancellor, Professor Joe Tor Iorapuu, for his leadership, which has transformed the university into a hub of academic excellence.

He noted that the university is making waves in the academic community, particularly in research, with faculty members serving on important committees nationwide. Echono, an alumnus of the university, thanked the executive governor for his support and encouraged the management to sustain the high standards.

Echono also appealed for industrial harmony to ensure a steady academic calendar, allowing students to focus on their education. He assured that TETFund will continue to provide facilities to improve the academic standard of the university.

The convocation ceremony was a testament to the university’s commitment to academic excellence.

The university’s growth and development are a result of the collective efforts of the management, staff, and students.

Echono urged the graduating students to be proud of their achievements and be good ambassadors of the university.
