For the second time in less than three weeks heavily armed kidnappers stormed Gwantu – Headquarters of Sanga local government area of kaduna state where they kidnapped a woman after shooting her husband.
Reports reaching us have it that the kidnappers, despite military presence, invaded the town in the late evening of yesterday (Saturday/28/05), and headed straight to the house of their Victims, Mr Jethro Safe, a Politician and one time Councilor of Sanga local government, where they forced themselves into the house, shot him on his leg and hand, and later kidnapped the wife.
Our reporter gathered that the kidnappers trailed Mr Jethro from Kaduna where he went to attend a party function.
As at the time of filing this report, the kidnappers have not made any call to inform Mr Jethro, who was immediately rushed to a medical facility somewhere in Nasarawa state for treatment, or any of his family members, to inform them of the whereabouts of the women and what they want to be given before releasing her.
