Tragedy befell Ahmadu Bello University, Samaru Zaria, Community yesterday when suspected Kidnappers abducted a middle aged woman and her 13-year old daughter.

Education Monitor gathered that the kidnappers invaded Area BZ Staff quarters of the University around 11 pm where they headed straight to house No 88 where the occupant, Sister Rahama, a nurse with the University’s Medical Centre lives with her three children, and abducted her and the 13 year old daughter.

As at the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of the abductees is not yet known, but rumours have it that the kidnappers may either be taking shelter or have a camp in one of the forests that surround the University.

Efforts to speak with Sister Rahama proved abortive as her line has not been going through

This is the second time kidnappers were invading the University community and successfully doing away with their victims.

It would be recalled that the same men of the underworld invaded the house of a former Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Abdullahi Mustapha where they kidnapped his married pregnant daughter, but who was later released after paying several millions of naira as ransom.
