A Port-Harcourt based Peace Advocate, Ambassador Musa Sa’idu has described the Emir of Bichi, Alh. Nasiru Ado Bayero, as a technocrat and man of the people, whose love for his people knows no bound and whose coronation will bring a lot of good things and development for Emirates and his subjects.

The Emir, according to Ambassador Sa’idu, resembles his father, the late Emir of Kano, Alh. Ado Bayero in many ways, traits and characteristics, especially in terms of love for his people.

He said, “The Emir of Bichi, like his late father, has a lot of networks and connections which he will, I am sure, bring to bear on the administration of the emirate.

The Ambassador, therefore prayed to the Almighty Allah to bless the Emir with the wisdom, vision, good health and large hearth to move the emirate forward. He however called on the emir to try to live to the expectations of his people and to carry each and everyone of them along to win their goodwill and support.

Ambassador Musa Sa’idu decrieded that lies and dishonesty of Nigeria’s elites, particularly political leaders, are the twin and major factors that had for long militated against the progress, unity and peace required to make the country a great and envy of other nations, even as he disagreed that disintegration is not, and can never be solution to our problems as a nation.

Ambassador Sa’idu who spoke in an exclusive interview with Palace Monitor in Kano during the coronation ceremony of the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero, lamented that it is regrettable that most Nigerian leaders all over the world are known and rated as unrepentant liars, despite their age.

He queried that, “how can a society develop or live in peace when it’s leaders, majority of whose ages are between the ages of 70 – 80, do not speak the truth, and have mortgaged their integrity because of selfishness and greed?”

He said, “even though some parts of the country have genuine reasons to agitate for secession, because of the unfairness and unjust attitudes of our leaders, remaining as citizens of an indivisible and sovereign nation, is our best bet.

“However, to nip this issue of secession in the bud, our leaders must ensure that there is justice and equity in the country”, he opined.

Speaking on the failure of Northern Leaders to carry people along, especially the masses, Ambassador Sa’idu stated that for every action, there is equal and opposite reaction, for this reason therefore, a day will come when the masses will abandon the leaders, the way the leaders have abandoned them.

“Northern leaders are the problem of Nigeria, because, they do not care about their people, the way their southern counterparts care about theirs. This is why the lives of the northerners are the most worthless in Nigeria.” He regretted.
