Professor Auwalu Yadudu, a renowned alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), has called on fellow alumni to support the institution’s growth and development.

Speaking exclusively after commissioning the N11 million solar system donated by the LL.B Class of 1978 to the Faculty of Law, Professor Yadudu emphasized the importance of alumni involvement in the development of the premier university

“As you can see in my statement, our class has seized the initiative to get others involved, like a class ahead of us and a class after us,” he said. “We are getting them mobilized and will be meeting regularly with them. They should be able to do things like this also.”

Professor Yadudu encouraged alumni from other faculties to contribute, no matter how small, to support the university.

“Gradually, we can do more things to help the university,” he added.

Looking ahead, Prof. Yadudu revealed plans to utilize future reunions as opportunities to identify areas needing intervention and plan support.

“Our plan is that whenever we hold a reunion, it’s not just a gathering for us, but an avenue to think of something else that needs our intervention and plan to help,” he explained.

This proactive approach demonstrates the LL.B Class of 1978’s commitment to giving back to their alma mater, inspiring others to follow suit.

By mobilizing alumni support, ABU can continue to thrive and provide quality education to future generations.
