A Veteran Activist of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Prof Muhammad Kabir (MK) Aliyu, has lost one of his senior children, Hafiz MK Aliyu.
The deceased who was never sick or complained of any kind of sickness in the morning, died in the late hours of this afternoon (Thursday 14/06/2023), according to Professor MK, was hail and hearty, as he was the one that even prepared breakfast for the family early in the morning.
Professor Aliyu who is also the Editor of Education Monitor newspaper said Hafiz who was very busy yesterday fixing his room and cleaning the entire house, did not exhibit any sign of fatigue or stress arising from the unusual sanitation of the house which he voluntarily assigned to himself.
“While I was in the office attending to some academic issues, I received a distressed call from home informing me about the state of Health of the boy, so, I quickly rushed home from where I invited personnel of the University’s Health Services who came and rushed him to the hospital where he was pronounced death right from home”, Professor MK said.
Aged 23, Hafiz had since been buried according to islamic rites.
