The Governing Council of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, has approved the appointments of Dr. Aliyu Dalha Kankia and Malam Yahya Hussain as the Institution:’s new Registrar and Bursar respectively
The appointments were approved at the 218th Special Meeting of the Council held at the Council Chamber, Senate Building, ABU, Zaria, on Tuesday, 29th September, 2026.
Their appointments were conveyed to them in separate letters signed by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, CFR.
According to the statement signed by the Management of the University, the two appointments will take effect from 4th October, 2026.
The Chairman of Council, Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, has congratulated them on their well-deserved appointments and wished them all the best.
Dr. Aliyu Dalha Kankia will replace Malam Rabiu Samaila as Registrar, while Yahaya Hussaini will replace Malam Mohammed Bello Aminu Gurin as Bursar.
Dr. Kankia obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria,
