The newly appointed Special Assistant on Women Empowerment to Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina state, Malama Maryam Ibrahim Shuaibu has thanked the governor for her appointment which she said was the governor’s practical way of rewarding and appreciating those that stood with him in thick and thin, and toiled day and night to ensure his historic and resounding victory in the elections.
The Archeology Graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, said with her appointment as Governor Radda ‘s Aide on Women Empowerment, an area she devoted her time on in the state to mobilize support for the governor among the women folk, she hopes to build on what she was widely known for doing in the state, particularly in rural communities.
Malama Maryam who said she views the appointment as a challenge thrown to her by the governor because of her passion for women empowerment, particularly in the area of skills acquisition and educational development, has promised to justify the confidence he has reposed in her.
Malama Maryam, who was the Director General of Dikko Radda Women Support Group said the governor has so far proven to all and sundry in the state that he has practically come to develop the state in all spheres of life with the hope of moving it to greater and admirable heights, and therefore called on all patriotic sons and daughters of the state to support the governor in this commendable effort.
Malama Maryam Ibrahim also prayed to the Almighty Allah to give the governor good health, long life, more wisdom and the large heart required to to leave unprecedented legacies in the state.
