Benue State University (BSU) is set to host its 22nd/24th combined convocation ceremony, a significant milestone in the academic journey of its students.
Renowned scholar Professor Toyin Falola, Chair of Jacob and Frances Sanger Massiker in the Humanities at the University of Texas at Austin, USA, will deliver the convocation lecture. The lecture takes place on Friday, December 6th, at 2:00 pm at Auditorium I, College of Health Sciences.
The convocation ceremony follows on Saturday, December 7th, commencing at 10:00 am at the New Convocation Square. The event will confer First degrees, Postgraduate diplomas, Higher degrees, and Honorary degrees.
All stakeholders, including council members, senate, staff, students, and the general public, are cordially invited to attend both events, announced Professor Tor Joe Iorapuu, Vice-Chancellor.
Professor Toyin Falola’s presence will add depth and prestige to the convocation ceremony, given his distinguished academic background and expertise. As an internationally celebrated icon of scholarship, he is one of the few patriotic, selfless, and hardworking African scholars of international repute.
The university community eagerly anticipates his thought-provoking lecture.
