Professor Mohammed Tawfiq Ladan has achieved a significant milestone by presenting his 5-Year leadership performance report to Ahmadu Bello University Zaria’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Kabiru Bala. This accomplishment is particularly notable given his impressive tenure as the most impactful Director General in the history of Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS).

After having successfully served out his five-year tenure, during his leave of absence, as a proud ambassador of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Professor Ladan presented two copies of his 5-Year leadership performance report (2019-2024) to the Vice Chancellor.

The comprehensive 450-page report is divided into 10 volumes (Vol. 1-10), providing a detailed account of his achievements and contributions during his tenure.

In the same vein, the law library of the University’s faculty of law has thanked Professor Ladan for the kind donation of 28 copies of law books to the library. The books were donated to the law library to enrich it at a time the faculty is nearing accreditation exercise.

An acknowledgement letter sent to Professor Ladan expressing appreciation for the donation signed by Mrs. P. A. Osuji listed the books as: NIALS Maritime Law Journal Vol. 2 (2014), Journal of Intellectual Property Vol. 7 (2020-2022), Journal of Intellectual Property Vol. 2 No. 1 (2013), and Journal of Public Law Vol. 11 (2020).

Others were – Health Law and Policy Journal Vol. 2 (2020), Health Law and Policy Journal Vol. 3 (2021), Contemporary Nigerian Admiralty Law Issues (2021), Contemporary Nigerian Admiralty Law issues (2022), Journal of Environmental Law Vol. 5 (2020), Proceeding of the Law Seminar for Judges Vol. (2020), NIALS International Journal of Legislative Drafting (NIJLD), Vol. 3. No. 3 (2020) and Journal of Intellectual Property Vol. 5 (2018).

The books also included – Journal of Constitutional Law Vol. 1 (2013), Journal of Business Law Vol. V (2022-2023), Journal of Environmental Law Vol. iv (2016), Journal of Environmental Law Vol. vii (2021), Journal of Environmental Law Vol. iii (2014), Nigerian Current Law Review (2015-2016), Nigerian Current Law Review (2016-2017), Nigerian Current Law Review (2017-2018), Nigerian Current Law Review (2018-2019).

Others are – Nigerian Current Law Review (2019-2020), Nigerian Current Law Review (2020-2021), Nigerian Current Law Review (2021-2022), and Nigerian Current Law Review (2022-2023), NIALS Journal of Business Law Vol. iii & iv, Journal of Public Law Vol. ii, Journal of Law Librarianship and Information Technology (NJOLLIT) Vol 2(1) 2022.

Professor Ladan’s commitment to advancing legal knowledge and education is truly commendable. His leadership and contributions will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the academic community.
