Wazirin Gwantu III/ Chief Executive Officer/Editor-in-Chief of Education Monitor Ltd, Alhaji Isa Waziri Adam, has lost an elder brother, Malam Yakubu Ali Waziri, popularly known as Yaku Mallam Gbong-Gbong.
Malam Yakubu who died in the early hours of Monday, 1st February, 2021, after a brief illness had since been buried according to Islamic rites in his Gwantu country home.
Yakubu, whose burial ceremony attracted hundreds of friends and well wishers from different parts of Sanga Local Government area of Kaduna state, died at the age of 65.
He is survived by Four Wives, 22 Children and 32 grand children.
Malam Yakubu who was known and loved by many people in and around Gwantu is going to be missed for his simplicity, kindness and natural sense of comedy.
He was a very hard working man of multiple trades which included farming, Smithing, Tailoring, Animal rearing, commercial driving and estate valuing.
Among his other surviving brothers are Wamban Gwantu, Alhaji Musa Ali Waziri, Shamakin Gwantu, Malam Muhammad Waziri Adam, Magajin Garin Gwantu, Malam Adamu Muhammad and Sarkin Samarin Gwantu, Malam Bala Abubakar.
