The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA), Professor Solomon Gbenga Ibileye, has congratulated Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye on his nomination as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Vice-Chancellor described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Ambassador Enikanolaiye’s distinguished career in diplomacy and public service.
Professor Gbenga, in a congratulatory message, issued on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Senate, Staff, and Students of the University, added that the nomination is a clear testament to Ambassador Enikanolaiye’s relentless devotion to advancing Nigeria’s interests on the global stage.
He noted that the envoy’s decades of experience in international relations have positioned him as one of Nigeria’s respected voices in foreign policy and economic diplomacy.
The Vice-Chancellor stressed that the appointment comes at a critical time when Nigeria faces complex global dynamics and must strengthen its international image through credible representation and strategic engagement.
He expressed confidence that Ambassador Enikanolaiye will deploy his wealth of experience, professionalism, and strategic insight to enhance Nigeria’s foreign relations and expand the country’s international partnerships for economic and developmental gains.
