The Ambassador also disclosed that in his country’s effort to promote Russia-Africa ties, it recently hosted the annual meeting of Afriximbank where partners from Africa, particularly Nigeria, attended and benefitted from. Ambassador Sherbastin who describe the National Day of the Russian Federation as a Day of Celebration by Modern Russia, which is undoubtedly a nation of strong sovereign democracy, emphasized that “on June 12th, we also celebrate a more-than-a-millennium long history of our state of outstanding achievements and great cultural legacy. This is the day when all Russians take pride in their identity and wish the unity of our country.”
