The Vice Chancellor of Nasarawa State University Keffi, Professor Suleiman Bala Muhammad has appointed a versatile and erudite Scholar, Professor Muhammad S. Rabiu as Head, Mass Communication Department of the university.
Professor Rabiu who is one of the few founding academic staff and Pioneer Head of the department is a selfless and one of the few principled lecturers that are highly respected by both colleagues and students because of their discipline, high moral and academic culture, is reputed for single handedly nurturing the department from its formative to present state.
Professor Rabiu who obtained his B.Sc Degree in Mass Communication from the University of Maiduguri, and proceeded to American University Cairo, Egypt, where he obtained his Masters Degree. He later proceeded to Benue State University Makurdi where he obtained his PhD Degree in Mass Communication while serving in the Mass Communication Department of NSUK.
He has also practiced as a journalist in many media organizations before joining the Nasarawa State University as a pioneer staff and HOD.
Professor Rabiu, an author of several books, has more than 40 articles published in several local and international journals.
