The Vice Chancellor of Nasarawa State University Keffi, Professor Suleiman Bala Muhammad has commended the management of Education Monitor newspaper for their dedication and unparalleled coverage of activities of Nigeria’s tertiary institutions, particularly universities.

The Comrade Vice Chancellor gave the commendation recently during the presentation, in his office, of June’s edition of the monthly tabloid which did a special coverage of the the University’s 7th and 2023 edition of convocation ceremony.

The Vice Chancellor who described the June edition as one of the best he has seen so far, congratulated the Publisher and Group Editor-in-chief of the Education Monitor Group of newspapers, Comrade Waziri Isa Adam, for his Professionalism and for his successful edition of a unique newspaper, which he described as the first of its kind in Nigeria’s history of Print journalism.

He promised to partner with the newspaper to ensure that it gives the university the required visibility. He however expressed hope that the management of the newspaper will extend the same hands of camaraderie to other universities by reporting and promoting their positive activities.

In his response, the Group Editor-in-chief of the Education Monitor Group of newspapers, Malam Waziri Isa Adam, thanked the Vice Chancellor, who he described as a long time friend and fellow comrade in ASUU struggles, and his management for patronizing the newspaper and for his readiness to partner with it for mutual benefits.

Malam Waziri assured the NSUK management of Education Monitor’s commitment to give the university the needed visibility and to project it in positive light in accordance to the ethics of journalism and global best practice.
