The management of Nasarawa State University Keffi, under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, has paid courtesy call on the Chancellor of the Institution, the Emir of Keffi, Alhaji Dr Shehu Chindo Yamusa II, to brief him on the University’s preparations for the forthcoming Silver Jubilee Anniversary and 8th Combined Convocation Ceremony

The Vice-chancellor informed the royal father that the University’s Silver Jubilee (25th Anniversary) and the upcoming 8th Combined Convocation Ceremony are scheduled to begin on Wednesday April 8 2026 to climax on Saturday 11th April 2026

Professor Liman, while offering Ramadan Mubarak wishes to the Royal Father and his council, emphasized that the Silver Jubilee is not just a celebration of time, but of the transformative impact NSUK has had on the nation over the last 25 years.

The Vice-Chancellor formally invited the Chancellor to lead the festivities, which will honor the institution’s journey from its inception to its current status as a top-ranked “Pacesetter” university.

Beyond the celebration, the Vice-Chancellor utilized the visit to advocate for institutional harmony. She presented the ongoing dispute involving the CRDP NSUK staff quarters and appealed for the Emir’s royal intervention to ensure a peaceful and amicable resolution.

Responding, HRH Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III praised Professor Liman’s leadership, describing her management as a catalyst for making NSUK a “true citadel of learning.” The Emir pledged his unalloyed support for the success of the Silver Jubilee and committed to mediating the CRDP quarters dispute.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Professor Maikano Muhammad Ari while thanking the Royal father for conferring on the Vice-Chancellor the illustrous title of “Jaruman Keffi” stated that the visit also served to appreciate the Chancellor’s enduring commitment to academic excellence.

The visit concluded with special prayers for the prosperity of the Keffi Emirate and the continued academic and structural expansion of the University. The management’s proactive approach ensures that as NSUK turns 25, it does so with the full support of its primary stakeholders and the traditional institution.
