The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL), Professor Muhammad Hadi Suleiman, has outlined his vision for the institution.
Speaking during his inaugural address, Professor Suleiman emphasized the importance of creating a conducive learning environment, strategic partnerships, and infrastructural development. He revealed plans to engage corporate organizations, including the Chinese Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC), to support the university’s infrastructure development.
The new Vice Chancellor also announced an initiative to ensure 24-hour electricity supply on campus, which he said would significantly reduce operational costs and redirect resources to other developmental projects.
Professor Suleiman expressed his gratitude to the university community for the warm reception and acknowledged the contributions of his predecessors. He reaffirmed his commitment to taking the university to greater heights.
The Emir of Lapai, represented by the District Head of Katakpa, Barrister Sa’idu Abdullahi, congratulated Professor Suleiman on his appointment and expressed confidence in his leadership.
With his vision and leadership, Professor Suleiman is expected to take IBBUL to new heights and establish it as a premier institution in Nigeria.
