The Medical Director of Federal Medical Centre Azare, Dr Dauda Abubakar Katagum (Zanna Dujima of Katagum) has lost his mother, Hajiya Hafsatu Haladu, popularly known as Baba Uwani.
Hajiya Baba Uwani died after a brief illness on Wednesday 15/05/2024 around 10:00 pm while receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Federal Medical Centre, Azare.
She was moved to Katagum the following day, Thursday, 16/05/2024, where she was buried according to Islamic rites.
The Emir of Katagum, Alhaji (Dr) Umar Faruq II, OON, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Federal University of Health Sciences Azare, Professor Muhammad Alkali, top management staff of Federal University of Health Sciences Azare, and management staff of Federal Medical Centre Azare were among dignitaries that attended the burial ceremony.
The deceased is survived by seven children and several grand and great grandchildren.
