Karaye Emirate Council in Kano State has formally installed five Kingmakers and two other Senior District Heads.
The Kingmakers are Makama of Karaye Alhaji Musa Saleh Kwankwaso, Sarkin Bai Alhaji Jibrin Ibrahim Zarewa, Sarkin Dawaki Mai-Tuta Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo, Dan Iya Alhaji Bashir Mahe and the Madaki of Karaye Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmad Karaye.
The other two Senior Chiefs are the Wali of Karaye Isma’ila Gwarzo ( former Security Adviser to Late Head of State General Sani Achaca) and the Waziri of Karaye Alhaji Musa Muhammad. They’re also Members of the Karaye emirate council.
Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Waziri Sokoto and a representative from Gwandu Emirate were among several personalities that graced the occasion which took place on Friday 27th November 2020 at Karaye Emir’s palace.
The occasion also coincided with wedding prayers of the daughter of the Emir of Karaye Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Abubakar II Princes Nafisat Ibrahim Abubakar and Dr Abdullahi Abubakar Gaya.
The wedding took place amidst cheers and fanfare by friends and well wishers of both the bride and the grooms at Karaye central Friday Mosque shortly after Juma’at Prayer.’’
