The Hausa Community in Aduwawa, Benin City, Edo State has received a borehole donation from the Director General Edo State Liaison Office, Abuja, Dcn Festus Osagie Osaigbovo.
The donation was to demonstrate the DG’s concern for humanity and uncommon love that transcends ethnicity and religion.
A statement issued to Journalists in Benin City, Edo State says such open-handedness and free-handedness was informed by the desire to put smiles on the faces of his fellow men.
The DG, who expressed satisafction over pace of work at the project site, said, “the best thing a man can do on this planet earth is to make others happy”, adding that “Love your neighbor as yourself is a virtue bequeathed to humanity by the Almighty God and we as children of God are duty-bound to reflect same in our relationships with our fellow men, he enthused”.
A member of the Hausa Community, Mallam Musa Yahaya said that Dcn Festus Osagie Osaigbovo’s intervention in their community is timely as they have been suffering from lack of portable water for a long time.
He said they heard of the DG’s beneficence and decided to approach him for same.
“We were surprised to see that he has done as promised within a short period of time.
“More so, evidences are mountain everyday in attestation to the goodwill and sincerity of purpose of the elder-statesman.
“No wonder the people of Oza, in Orhionmwon LGA, of Edo State are in high spirits as evident in their support for the elder.
“His philanthropism and charitableness knows no bounds and the people in Orhionmwon LGA are already feeling his presence like never before.
“They can only hope for the best with a person of the caliber of Dcn Festus Osagie Osaigbovo in their ranks”, he said.
