The national President of Gwantu People’s Progressive Union (GWAPPU), Prince Bala Audu, has, on behalf of the Union, thanked Governor Nasiru El- Rufai of Kaduna state for the creation of additional chiefdoms in the state.

Prince Bala Audu who is also the Shattima of Gwantu said with the bold and commendable decision of the Governor, he has recorded another giant stride in the state.

“No doubt, the Governor has further proven his commitment to executing progressive and pro-people policies in the state as part of his determination to fulfill his campaign promises”, he said.

Creation of Arak Chiefom out of Gwantu chiefdom by the governor is a manifestation of his love for both the Gwantu and Arak/Numana people, among whom vast discerning citizens and elites have stood by him in thick and thin in solidarity and as a pay back for choosing their sister, Dr Hadiza (Sabuwa) Balarabe Abubakar Sanga, as his deputy.

The Shattima assured the Governor that Gwantu People will continue to support the administration of the Governor in the discharge of his people oriented programs.

He therefore called on the good and peace loving people of both Gwantu and Arak Chiefdoms to reciprocate the Governor’s historic and unparalleled gesture by praying for sustainable peace in the state, arguing that without peace, no society can develop.

He also called on all the people of Gwantu, Ninzo, Ayu and the newly created Arak chiefdoms to embrace one another and work together in peace and harmony as brethren who have co-existed in Sanga local government for only-God- knows number of years, for the overall development of both the local government and the state.
