The Medical Director, MD Federal Medical Centre, FMC Azare, Dr Dauda Abubakar Katagum has expressed readiness for the upgrade of the health facility to a Teaching Hospital.

Katakum revealed this to newsmen while recounting his achievements within one-year of his stewardship as Medical Director of the premier tertiary health institution in northern part of Bauchi State.

According to Katagum, given its robust facilities and skilled manpower, in addition to being by proximity close to the Federal University of Health Sciences, FUHS Azare, the hospital is well positioned to naturally evolve into a teaching hospital lfor professional training needs.

Katagum, discussing on the official responsibilities of his office, attributed the gradual success being put in place to divine grace and his past experience in sister institutions.

The Medical Director emphasized the significance of respecting professional ethics in discharging clinical responsibilities, an area he specifically focused on to improve patient care.
