The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Gusau, Professor Muazu Gusau Abubakar, has announced the completion of the institution’s iconic Senate Building and College of Medical Sciences.
Professor Abubakar made this disclosure in an exclusive interview with Education Monitor in Abuja, revealing that the facilities are now ready for use.
He commended the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) for its invaluable support, instrumental in completing the projects. Professor Abubakar assumed leadership of the university in February 2021, inheriting numerous abandoned projects. However, through TETFund’s intervention, several of these projects have now been successfully completed.
The College of Medical Sciences is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, poised to enhance the university’s reputation in medical education. Additionally, Professor Abubakar aims to complete a 1000-plus-capacity library by 2025, providing staff and students with expansive resources.
