*VC braces up for show down with publisher, as more alleged cases of corruption emerge

Following the recent publication, in Education Monitor newspaper, of a story of how the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Professor Kabiru Bala, is institutionalizing corruption in the University, running it as a Family and Friends Enterprise, and stifling rational, patriotic and opposition voices, the Vice Chancellor is reportedly adopting flawed steps to blackmail, declare an all out war on the publisher of the monthly tabloid, and to eventually rehearse how he can attempt to terminate his appointment with the university, even as more damning allegations of corruption against him, instances of his high-handedness and maladministration are being reported to Education Monitor by different victims of his selective justice from different quarters of the University.
