The Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) has expelled one student and rusticated 51 others for examination misconduct during the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.
The decision was approved at the university’s 139th Regular Meeting of the Senate held on Tuesday, 5th May 2026, presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Khalid Othman.
According to the Special Bulletin Vol. 3 No. 54 released on 12th May 2026 and signed by Nasiru M. Abdul, Director, Information & Protocol, the disciplinary action brings the total number of students disciplined for examination irregularities to 72 so far in the session. The rustication, which covers two semesters, takes effect from the second semester of the 2025/2026 session.
The university stated that the action is in line with Section 13.3, Sub-section 13.3c of the FUDMA Academic Policy on Examination Irregularity and Academic Misconducts. All affected students were invited for interaction with the university’s Committee on Examination Misconduct, which recommended the disciplinary measures before Senate approval.
A first batch of 20 students had earlier been rusticated for two semesters following Senate approval on 11th March 2026.
The 52 students sanctioned in this batch span the Faculties of Management Sciences, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Computing, and the College of Education.
