His Royal Highness, the Emir of Lafian Bare-Bari, Justice Sidi Bage, has conferred the traditional title of the Sarauniyar Fulanin Nasarawa, on the youngest wife of the State’s governor, Hajiya Farida AA Sule.
A letter of the conferment of the title earlier presented to the recipient, which was personally signed by the Emir, titled, “Conferment of Chieftaincy Title,” partly read, “I have the honor to inform her Excellency that after consultations with the members of the Lafian Bare-Bari Emirate Council, and under the authority of the council, you have been conferred with the Chieftaincy title of SARAUNIYAR FULANIN NASARAWA STATE with effect from the 28th of July,2020.”
The letter further read, “This decision was reached after considering your numerous contributions towards the development of Lafia Emirate.”
The coronation ceremony which later took place, shortly after presentation of the appointment letter to the Sarauniya, at the Emir’s Palace was witnessed by the Governor himself, his commissioners, influential sons and daughters of the state, was adjudged one of the few colorful, if not the main, coronation ceremonies in the Emirate since the Emir assumed office.
Among friends, well wishers and government officials that congratulated and felicitated with the New and First Sarauniyar Fulani of Nasarawa State, were the Commissioners of Education, Hajiya Fati Sabo Jimeta, Agriculture, Prof. Otaki Alananan, and Commissioner of Health, Pharm AB Yahaya.
The three commissioners prayed to the Almighty Allah to give the Sarauniya abundant health and wisdom to help the Emir in his commendable and exemplary effort to move the emirate to enviable height.
The trio concurred that, the conferment of the special title of Sarauniyar Fulani to the wife of the Executive Governor was no doubt an indication of the Emir’s recognition of her wonderful roles in supporting deserving people in the state.
Farida Sule who owns Hope Alive Foundation, has been working assiduously to give hope to the hopeless in the state. The aim of the foundation, according to her, is to also touch the lives of the less privilege, orphans, widows and people with disabilities.
