The District Head of Sifawa in Bodinga Local Government Area of Sokoto State, Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari Tambari, has slated 14th January, 2023, as date for the conferment of the traditional title of Magajin Garin Sifawa (Mayor) on a prominent son of the District, Alhaji Samaila Umar Sifawa mni.
An invitation letter, sent to Palace Monitor, on the turbaning ceremony of the Magajin Gari partly read, “the District Head of Sifawa, Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari Tambari, MON, cordially invites Palace Monitor newspaper to the turbaning ceremony of Samaila Umar Sifawa mni, CNA, M.IoD as Magajin Garin Sifawa”.
The event is expected to be hosted by the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Rt. Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal as Chief Host, while the Executive Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, will be Special Guest of Honour.
The turbaning ceremony is expected to take place in the morning of Saturday, 14 January, at the Palace of Sarkin Kudun Sifawa.
Friends, colleagues and well-wishers of the business man turned traditional title holder, from different parts of the country are expected to grace the historic occasion.
