The Commandant-General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has commended the Education Monitor newspaper for its unbiased and informative reporting. Dr Audi made this remark during a courtesy call on him yesterday in Abuja by the editorial team of the newspaper, represented by the Publisher and Group Editor-in-Chief, Hajj Waziri Isa Adam, and the Editor of the newspaper, Professor Muhammad Kabir Aliyu.

Dr Audi expressed his appreciation for the newspaper’s efforts in promoting the activities of the NSCDC, particularly in the areas of disaster management, crisis resolution, and community service. He noted that the newspaper’s objective reporting has helped to create a positive image of the Corps, which has in turn boosted the morale of its personnel.

The Commandant-General also acknowledged the importance of the media in shaping public opinion and promoting national security. He emphasized that the NSCDC values its relationship with the media and recognizes the critical role they play in disseminating information to the public.

Dr Audi therefore pleaded for an enhanced working relationship between the NSCDC and Education Monitor newspaper. He expressed his desire for more collaboration and cooperation between the two organizations, with the aim of promoting mutual understanding and advancing national interests.

In response, the Publisher and Group Editor-in-Chief of Education Monitor, Hajj Waziri Isa Adam, assured Dr Audi of the newspaper’s commitment to objective and balanced reporting. He pledged to continue promoting the activities of the NSCDC and highlighting its contributions to national security and development.

Professor Muhammad Kabir Aliyu, the Editor of Education Monitor, also reiterated the newspaper’s dedication to fairness, accuracy, and truth in its reporting.
