President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated Professor Yahya Makarfi Ibrahim of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, for appointment as one of the 19 eminent Nigerians sent to the National Assembly for ratification and consequent appointment as Commissioners for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Professor Makarfi who is one of the youngest and top decision makers in the Professor Kabiru Bala-led administration in the university is the institution’s current Director of Academic Planning.
A world class Professor of Quantity Survey, Professor Makarfi who hails from Makarfi local government area of kaduna state is a distinguished, diligent and hardworking Scholar of international repute.
