Prominent National Prophet, Professor Tayo Popoola, has assured Nigerians that just as God remembered Noah in the Ark, God will remember Nigeria and deliver her from current challenges.
Popoola, who is a renowned Professor of Political Communication and Head of Mass Communication Department – University of Lagos, gave the assurance in his Independence message to the nation delivered this morning while ministering during the annual prophetic service at the headquarters of Divine Favour Prayer Assembly Ministries, Mowe, Ogun State.
He said God says He will not abandon Nigeria and the nation shall overcome all challenges facing her.
He urged Nigerians to have faith in the ability of God to heal the nation, adding that so long as God did not abandon Noah and his family at a critical moment of national crisis and depression, God will certainly not abandon Nigeria.
“During the time of Noah, the scripture says ‘every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven’ (Gen 7:23). In the midst of this crisis, the scripture says ‘God remembered Noah and every living thing with him in the ark’ (Gen 8:1),” he said.
Prophet Popoola therefore urged Nigerians to shun sinful lifestyle and embrace righteousness, stressing that “sin is a reproach but righteousness exalts a nation” – Proverbs 14:34.
Quoting Isaiah 60:22, he reminded Nigerians of God’s promise that “a little one shall become a thousand and a small one a strong nation.”
He noted that all great countries of the world today started small but through commitment, hard work, patriotism, truthfulness and sincerity, they were able to overcome their crisis of growth and development.
He prayed that Nigeria shall overcome all problems of insecurity, banditry, kidnapping, terrorism and energy crisis.
