Modibbo Adama University, Yola, has perfected arrangements to host its 3rd edition of International Conference organized by the Institution’s Faculty of Education
The 3rd Annual International Conference is scheduled to take place from April 12 to 17, 2026,
The conference will feature a hybrid format, incorporating both physical and virtual presentations, and will focus on the theme: “Quality Education in the Face of Challenges Posed by AI and Insecurity in Nigeria”.
The event is expected to attract a diverse array of academics, researchers, and stakeholders from across Nigeria and beyond, with a wide range of sub-themes covering engineering, sciences, technology, vocational studies, and distance learning.
The Adamawa State Government, His Excellency, Rt. Hon Dr Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the Special Guest of Honor is expected to attend the Conference with the Guest of Honor alongside Her Excellency, Prof Kaletapwa G Farauta, the deputy Governor of the state.
While Professor AI Chukwuma of the department of Political Science, Federal University Lafiya, will be the Keynote speaker at the conference, Professor B. Y. Baha, Provost of Adamawa State College of Education Hong, and Professor Babawuro Shuaibu, Dean, Faculty of Technology Education, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, will be Lead Paper Presenter I and II, respectively.
While the Vice-chancellor, Modibbo Adama University, Professor Ibrahim Umar, will be the Chief Host, the Dean, Faculty of Education, MAU, Professor Fatima M. Joda, will be the host.
Professor Joseph Zambwa, Professor A.O. Egunsola and Dr Aniekan E. Asukwo are the conference organizers – Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Secretary – Local organizing Committee, respectively
The conference will be held at Lecture Theatre I, College of Medical Sciences, MAU, and will feature notable scholars.
According to the organizers, the gathering aims to provide a platform for stakeholders to proffer solutions to emerging educational challenges, particularly those driven by artificial intelligence and insecurity in Nigeria.
The conference promises to be a significant event, offering a unique opportunity for participants to engage with experts and peers, share knowledge, and explore innovative solutions to the pressing issues facing the education sector.
