The immediate past Director General of Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS), Professor Muhammed Tawfiq Ladan, has been scheduled to deliver Keynote address at an International Conference tomorrow – 17th February, 2026, organized by the Faculty of Law of Gombe State University (GSU).
The first International Conference themed, “Law, Society and Sustainable Development: Emerging Issues in Environmental and Energy Governance”, is a two- day event slated for 17th – 18th, February, 2026.
The First Hybrid International Conference will take place at Haruna Rashid Hall of the University
Professor Ladan is currently the Coordinator of African International Free Trade Area Agreement (AFCFTA), Law and Policy Programme Division at NILDS.
MT Ladan, a scholar of International repute, is a Professor of law with about four decades experience in teaching, research, supervision and mentorship, with specialization in public international law relating to trade, investment, energy, environment, climate change, human rights, natural resource management, gender and development in Africa.
