The Founder of MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has expressed profound sadness over the demise of the esteemed Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, who passed away on November 27, 2025.
In a statement released in Kano, Nigeria, Prof. Gwarzo extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, describing Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi as a respected and influential Islamic scholar who dedicated his life to teaching and preaching.
“The death of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi is a significant loss to the Muslim Ummah and Nigeria as a whole,” Prof. Gwarzo said. He was an embodiment of peace and scholarship, promoting peaceful coexistence, tolerance, and unity wherever he went,” Prof. Gwarzo said.
Prof. Gwarzo also conveyed his condolences to the government and people of Bauchi State, praying that Allah grants the deceased forgiveness and comforts his family during this period of mourning.
“We pray that Allah grants Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi Aljannah Firdaus and gives his family the strength to bear this great loss,” he said.
Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, who left behind four wives, numerous children, and grandchildren, was laid to rest in Bauchi.
